India denies report of students being held hostage even as Russia, Ukraine trade charges

India says “have not received any reports of any hostage situation regarding any student” after Russia’s charge on Ukraine

The Russian Embassy in India had yesterday tweeted that Indian students were taken hostage by Ukraine.

The Ukrainian government had also charged Russia of taking Indian and Pakistani students as hostage.

As per Russian Embassy in India's tweets, "according to latest info, Indian students are taken hostage by Ukrainian security forces to use them as a human shield & in every possible way prevent them from leaving for Russia.
