Blistering knock of Shreyas Iyer equally well supported by Jadeja and Sanju helped India beat Sri Lanka by 7 wickets. Chasing total of 183 runs India scored 186/3 with 17 balls to spare. Shreyas continuing his good form scored second half century of the series (74 in 44 balls). Jadeja justifying his no 4 position scored quick fire 45 runs in 18 balls.
India started on a weak foot after loosing Rohit Sharma in first over itself for only 1 run. Ishan Kishan did not look confident and left the ground scoring 16 runs in 15 balls. Sanju Sampson’s excellent inning came to an end by the brilliant catch by Fernando, he scored 39 off 25 balls.
Earlier, Sri Lanka posted a mighty total of 183 for 5 in 20 overs aided by a brilliant 23 run final over thanks to Dasun Shanaka’s blistering strokes as he remained unbeaten on 47 off only 19 deliveries playing a quick fire captain’s knock.
