Fodder scam case: RJD leader Lalu Yadav sentenced to 5 years in jail in corruption case, fined ₹ 60 lakh.
Lalu Yadav, who is out on bail and is unwell, joined the court hearing through video conferencing.
A special CBI court had on Tuesday had convicted former Bihar CM and RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Rs 139.35 crore Doranda treasury embezzlement case. He has already been convicted in the previous four cases of the fodder scam.
One more case linked to the fodder scam is pending before the CBI court in Patna. The case is on the illegal withdrawal of money from the Bank-Bhagalpur treasury.
