Union Minister’s Son Ashish Mishra, Accused Of Running Over Farmers In UP, Gets Bail.
The Allahabad high court on Thursday granted bail to Ashish Mishra, son of Union minister of state for home Ajay Mishra. He was the key accused in the Lakhimpur Kheri violence case.
Ashish Mishra on October 3, was allegedly driving the SUV that ran over four farmers and a journalist at Lakhimpur Kheri during a protest march against three controversial farm laws. He was arrested days later on October 9, 2021.
The bail comes on a day the first phase polling began in Uttar Pradesh.
