As the COVID restrictions loosen up, many educational institutes have started physical classes for children. As 53.3% of the total population is vaccinated against the COVID19 virus, the authorities are now trying to restore the normalcy on the demands of students who want the physical classes to resume.
DU Reopens
Wednesday, the DU Proctor Rajni Abbi announced that Delhi University will soon reopen on February 17th. While addressing a protesting crowd of Akil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and Student’s Federation of India (SFI) in front of the proctors’ office on Wednesday.
The students started the protest a few days after the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) gave a green light to the resumption of offline classes in the national capital.
The authorities accounted that the “Safe campus” drive will be carried out from February 14 to 18, to ensure full vaccination of children who will be coming to campus.
Delhi Schools for nursery kids to reopen from February 14
Delhi Schools from 9th to 12th already resumed their physical classes from February 7th and now schools for nursery to class 8th will be reopened from February 14th.
Delhi government is still continuing with the mandatory parental consent for children who will be resuming physical classes. However, there is no 50% cap on students strength in the class. School authorities can decide upon the class strength according to their infrastructural capacity to adhere to COVID protocols.
Haryana to reopen schools from 9th to 12th
The schools in Haryana will be reopened for classes 1 to 9 from Thursday, February 10th, in physical mode.
COVID protocols- from thermal scanning to alternative sitting arrangements, will be mandatory for the schools to follow.
Meanwhile, schools for 9th to 12th have already resumed physical mode.
CBCS to conduct offline board exams from April 26th
The Central Board of Secondary education will conduct the Class 10 and Class 12 term 2 examinations in offline mode from April 26, 2022.
The official date sheet will be shared on the website soon. Meanwhile, the authorities have decided to keep the exam pattern the same as that mentioned on the CBSC website earlier.
