Niklas Sule will move to Dortmund after his contract expires with Bayern Munich this summer.
Dortmund announced on Monday that Germany central defender Niklas Sule has
signed a four-year contract with Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
After his contract with Bayern Munich expires in the summer, the 26-year-old will join Dortmund on a free transfer.
Sule has 159 appearances for Bayern since arriving from Hoffenheim in 2017, earningfour league titles and the Champions League in 2019020. He has 37 caps for
Germany.
After reportedly rejecting a new contract at Bayern Munich, Sule was linked with
Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Barcelona.
Dortmund, who trail Bayern by nine points after 21 games, will travel to Union Berlin on Sunday, while Bayern will play VfL Bochum the day before.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said “We are pleased that we were able to sign a German national player in Niklas Sule and retain him for four years”.
