- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman comprehensively explained the Budget in a timely manner given its vastness. I will also try to focus on important aspects of the Budget, today.
- There is a possibility of a new world order post-COVID pandemic. Today, the world’s perspective of looking at India has changed a lot. Now, the world wants to see a stronger India.
- With the world’s changed perspective towards India, it is imperative for us to take the country forward at a rapid pace by strengthening our economy.
- It is very important for us to make a self-reliant & modern India. This Budget has several important provisions to take India forward in the direction of modernity. India’s economy is expanding continuously due to the decisions taken in the last 7 years.
- The budget was has been appreciated. Prior to 7 years, India’s GDP was Rs 1 lakh 10,000 crores but today it’s about Rs 2 lakh 30,000 crores. Even country’s forex reserves have increased to $630 billion from $200 billion. All of this due to our govt’s effective policies.
- The budget also focused on modernizing Indian agriculture with a focus on organic farming. This will make farming more lucrative. Kisan drones and other machinery will be made available to the farmers at reasonable prices.
- Ken-Betwa river interlinking project is set to change face of Bundelkhand spanning Madhya Pradesh & Uttar Pradesh.
- Budget has envisioned 2,500-km long natural farming corridor along banks of River Ganga, will also help Clean Ganga mission.

- This budget has several steps to take India on the road towards modernization. 7-8 years ago, India’s GDP was Rs 1.10 lakh cr. Today, our GDP is nearly Rs 2.3 lakh crore.
- In 2013-14, India’s exports stood at Rs 2.85 lakh crore. Today, it has achieved Rs 4.7 lakh crore.
- This Budget focuses on the poor, middle class and youth and aims to provide them basic necessities. Our Government is working on the saturation of basic facilities.
- In this year’s budget, there’s provision for 80 lakh pucca houses for the poor. This will help them overcome poverty and take them forward.
- We’ve decided that we will develop the villages on India’s borders, Such villages will have all facilities, a special provision has been made in the budget.
- Parvatmala will provide modern connectivity and infrastructure in the Himalayan region. This will smoothen access to the hills – both for tourists, pilgrims and most importantly, for our defence forces.
- A lot of things were said about MSP. But our government has made record purchases on MSP in the last years.
- We’ve also provided tax benefits for startups in this budget. The provisions done for youth innovation and R&D will motivate our youngsters to innovate.
- More investments in sports sector under Khelo India.
- Big step of Public investment in this budget. Public investment grew from 1lakh 87 thousand in 2014 to 7 lakh 50 thousand today in our goverment to invite more foreign investment.
- Last year, FDI in India has crossed 80 billion dollar.
- PM Gati shakti master plan will connect industry in remote corners of the country.
- Green Growth and Green Jobs is the motto of this budget.
